about jane

Born and raised in the NYC area, Jane was called to New England after God changed her life during college. She received her M.Div from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and currently serves as the English Congregation’s pastor at North Boston Korean United Methodist Church in Andover, MA. Jane also serves as the director of ARISE Ministries, a regional non-profit that contends for the revival of the second generation of the Korean Church of New England. Her prayer is that the new generation would encounter the life-changing Jesus that set her free.

As a second-generation Korean American, Jane is passionate about the importance of qualitative and quantitative research in the greater church of America and how research can be used to build up the Church (with emphasis on immigrant churches and churches of color) by better informing its future. Jane is the engagement data analyst for Arrabon and a researcher with Arbor Research Group. Previously, she was the research specialist for the Thriving Congregations grant team at the Center for Urban Ministerial Education in Roxbury. She has also completed her own pastoral study project, HANA, which was funded by the Louisville Institute. In her free time, she loves jazz in vinyl form, coffee, interior design, and basketball.
